Once we receive your current details we can contact you to organise an interview time.

At interview we will discuss your employment goals and needs so we can start to circulate your details to a potential 400 aged care providers in metropolitan and/or rural South Australia or Victoria looking for carers whose requirements match your needs.

A one-time registration with Bliss can put you in touch with over 400 aged care providers! Once you have satisfied our registration requirements, you are considered an active candidate until either we are able to successfully place you in the employment of your choice or you ask to be withdrawn, at which stage you become an in-active candidate. If you leave your place of employment to seek work in a different environment or require more (or less) hours of work, all that is required is a phone call and we can amend your details and re-activate your status.

SMP uses name codes to ensure privacy and discretion when dealing with potential employers. Only when we have your express consent (in preparation for an introduction) will we send a potential employer your profile which will contain identifying features. While hours of work, employee entitlements and remuneration need to be discussed with the employer, SMP will endeavour to do its best to inform you of these prior to employer introductions.

SMP Carer Recruitment is remunerated by employers when an offer of employment is made and it is accepted by a candidate.

 

Q: Can you explain the process?

A: Once we have received your up-to-date resume or online application we will contact you to organise an interview time.

At your interview we will discuss your experience and skills, the type of work you are interested in, preferred hours of employment and we sight all listed qualifications, first aid certificates and police clearances.

For community-based carers, we also take the opportunity to look at the areas you are able to service so we can minimise your traveling time between clients.

Once we are able to gather this key data we construct your unique candidate profile that we use as a tool to advocate your merits to the industry. This (again) is done only with your express permission and consent (please see our privacy statement) through regular communications with aged care providers and as vacancies arise through our large network of clients.

The interview process allows us to better define the work you are able and willing to perform, which in turn enables us to better match you with potential employers.

Once registered, you receive an "active status" and thats when the work really starts for us. We are committed to proactively advocating your merits to potential employers and it is likely you will will hear from us very regularly.
